Prof. Zhang Jiang is the vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is the editor-in-chief ofSocial Sciences in China, and an editor ofChinese Journal of Literary CriticismandChina Social Science Review. He serves as the director of Chinese Society for Literary Criticism, and the reviewer for the planning of National Social Sciences Fund. Prof. Zhang has long-lasting interest in literary theory and criticism. He has been the chief expert of two major projects supported by the National Social Sciences Fund: “A Critical Study on Contemporary Western Literary Theory” (2011) and “The Establishment of the Discourse System of Socialist Literary Theory with Chinese Characteristics” (2015). His papers appeared in leading journals such asPeople’s Daily,Guangming Daily,Social Sciences in China,Literature and Art Studies,Literary Review,Philosophical ResearchesandComparative Literature Studies. His many articles have been reprinted byXinhua DigestandChinse Social Sciences Digest.
