Xiongbo Shi received a PhDfrom the Department of Art History and Theory, University of Canterbury. His research interests cover traditional Chinese aesthetics, art history and material culture. He has been a research assistant in the project “Rewi Alley Collection at Canterbury Museum”, and is the assistant editor of the website “China, Art and Cultural Diplomacy” (rewialleyart.nz). He has papers published in theJournal of Art Historiography,Philosophy East and West, andJournal of Aesthetic Education.
